Responsibilities Include:
- Working closely with existing Actuarial teams, you will be responsible for leading small teams to deliver discrete actuarial projects. This is a unique chance to play an important role supporting a programme of impactful and varied initiatives across the actuarial function.
- Supporting, insight and analysis for commercial initiatives
- Designing and implementing process improvements projects
- Working with BAU teams to implement model and methodology improvements
- Designing and implementing improvements to processes, methodologies, modelling and reporting
- Working with business stakeholders to engage, gain agreement and sign off on initiatives
- Managing the quality of deliverables, perform validation, and sign-off
- Maintain a balanced approach to risk and applying an application of risk management principles in all phases of design and implementation
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (or equivalent)
- In depth understanding and experience in risk products
- Financial reporting and/or modelling experience
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively to deal with technical challenges
- Developed technical and analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems
- Demonstrate the ability to gain buy in and consult with business stakeholder to ensure the smooth deliver of project initiatives
- Experience in Life Insurance, Reinsurance, Consulting with valuation or pricing considered advantageous
